Tudor began making chronographs half a century ago, and to commemorate this milestone, the brand has revamped the Black Bay Chrono with a thinner case and two new "Panda" dials. The new Black Bay Chrono is equipped with a "panda" or "anti-panda" dial, and is designed with retro style as inspiration, while retaining the price of the Black Bay series. Together, this will make it popular among those looking for an affordable sports chronograph.
The Tudor chronograph has a long history. The most famous is probably the racing-style Montecarlo, but the diving watch series Black Bay launched the chronograph very late. The first was launched in 2017. A few years later, Tudor launched a dark limited edition. In 2019, a gold version of this chronograph was also launched.
The 2021 Tudor Black Bay Chrono is an incremental improvement, partly to meet consumer demand for thinner chronographs. The "Panda" dial of the new Biwan Chronograph is more eye-catching than the original solid color dial of 2017, because the juxtaposition of contrasting colors enhances the sense of movement replica rolex, and the monochrome aesthetics is still faithful to the retro design.
Just like Daytona, the new Biwan Chronograph has two dials to choose from. There is a white dial (panda face) with a black sub-dial and a black dial (reverse panda face) with a white sub-dial. I borrowed the white dial Tudor Black Bay Chrono.
The case size of the new replica watch is 41 mm wide and 14.4 mm thick, which is slightly smaller than the 14.9 mm in the 2017 edition. The thinner case is the same as the case first seen on the Black Bay Chrono Dark and Black Bay Chrono S&G in 2019. The brushed and polished steel case used alternately has an overall solid feel.
On its right side, two screw-in chronograph buttons are located on the side of the large engraved crown, both screw-in design, so it helps to maintain the water resistance of 200 meters (personally still do not like this chronograph button design, because the operation Extremely inconvenient). The top of the watch is a black tachymeter bezel. Its black color contrasts sharply with the brushed steel appearance of earlier models. The material here is aluminum alloy instead of the popular ceramic bezel, which is slightly outdated.
The sapphire crystal is slightly domed, reminiscent of the acrylic crystal on old chronographs. Tudor is "refined with a movement that is cleverly cut and repositioned at the bottom of the sapphire crystal": it means that the dial is located closer to the crystal, so the movement also moves upward toward the mirror fake Rolex, reducing the overall height of the watch. At the same time, the bevel of the lower edge of the case further minimizes the perceived height.
